£13,100 per annum
35 hours per week

The role
To create meaningful and mutually rewarding relationships with around 50 blind or partially sighted people in Lambeth. As well as offering help with correspondence, you will keep up to date with local news so that you can provide information about events, activities and public services. Visiting people in their homes on a regular basis, you will travel throughout the borough ideally by public transport.

The person
Drawing on your own rich experience of work, relationships, and leisure pursuits you relate easily to people from a wide range of backgrounds and will enjoy meeting people who are blind or partially sighted. You have excellent conversation skills, sensitivity and a strong commitment to the welfare of others. You are courteous, reliable and completely trustworthy.

The organisation
MSB is a long established independently funded charity providing social and emotional support for visually impaired people in the 12 inner London boroughs and the City of London.
